Stir in black beans, corn, taco seasoning, salt, and black pepper, mixing well.

In a separate bowl, combine cornbread mix, egg, milk, and jalapeños until just mixed.

Spread the beef mixture evenly in a greased baking dish.

Pour the cornbread batter over the beef mixture, spreading it evenly.

Top with shredded cheddar cheese.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cornbread is golden and cooked through.
