Baked Buffalo Wings

Set up a rimmed baking sheet covered with aluminum foil and topped with a wired rack.

Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

Using a sharp knife, separate the wing and drumette at the joint where they attach.

In a bowl, add 1 tablespoon of garlic powder, 1 tablespoon of chili powder, 1 tablespoon of paprika, 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper.

Pour 1/4 cup of buffalo wing sauce over the wings and mix well to coat all the wings with the sauce and spices.

Marinate the wings for 30 minutes to several hours if time allows.

Preheat the oven to 400°F.

Place the wings on the rack in the baking sheet, ensuring they do not touch to avoid sogginess.

Bake the wings in the oven for 20 minutes.

After 20 minutes, take the wings out, flip them, and return them to the oven for another 20 minutes.

Once done, remove the wings from the oven; they should be golden brown and aromatic.

Once the wings are cool enough to handle, toss them in a bowl with another 1/2 cup of buffalo sauce.
