4 nos. dried red chillies
2 nos. garlic
2 pieces roasted coconut
1 nos. ginger slice
1/4 tsp cumin powder
Salt to taste (1/2 tsp)
1 tsp chilli powder (lonumirus Havaadhu)
1/4 tsp black pepper powder
16 nos curry leaves
3 tbsp water
600 gram curry cut chicken with bones
2 tbsp cooking oil
1 nos. onion (medium)
2 nos. garlic
2 pcs pandan leaves (3")
20 nos. curry leaves
2 nos. fresh chilli (according to your taste)
2 tbsp tomato paste
1/2 cup water + 1 cup water
Salt to taste (1/2 tsp)

Add the ingredients listed for chilli paste in a blender and blend it to a smooth paste.

Add 2 tbsp of the grinded chilli paste mixture to the cleaned curry cut chicken pieces and mix well.

Set it aside and thinly slice onion and chop the garlics.

On medium heat, add oil to your pot. Once heated add marinated chicken pieces and cook 3-4 mins on each side.

Once done take it to a plate. Remove any burnt chicken drippings on the pot.

On the same pot on low heat add sliced onion, chopped garlic, pandan leaf, curry leaves and fresh chilli. Saute till onions are tender.

Add the rest of the grinded chilli paste mixture and tomato paste. Cook 2-3 mins on low to medium heat.

Add 1/2 cup water and salt to taste. Cook 1-2 mins on low to medium heat.

Add cooked chicken pieces and mix well. Add 1 cup water and cook additional 3-5 mins on low to medium heat.
