Easy Homemade Meatloaf

Today, variations abound, with ingredients like bacon or different meats, showcasing its adaptability and enduring popularity.

Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Spray the meatloaf pan with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
In a large bowl, add ground beef, bread crumbs, chopped onion, and seasonings (Creole seasoning and Italian seasoning).
Add salt and black pepper to taste.
Mix the ingredients by hand, breaking up the meat without overworking it.
Make an indentation in the mixture and add the egg, then fold it in.
Transfer the mixture into the meatloaf pan, shaping it without packing it too tightly.
Create a bevel around the edges for presentation and to catch fat.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes, checking the internal temperature with a meat thermometer.
Prepare the glaze by mixing ketchup, brown sugar, salt, and pepper.
After 40 minutes, check the internal temperature; if it's around 145°F, coat the meatloaf with the glaze and return to the oven for another 15 minutes until it reaches 165°F.
