Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté onion and garlic until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
Add ground beef and Italian sausage to the skillet, cooking until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes, then season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, and fresh basil until well combined.
Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of a sheet pan.
Layer cooked lasagna noodles over the meat sauce, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, half of the mozzarella, and a layer of meat sauce.
Repeat the layering process, finishing with noodles topped with remaining meat sauce and mozzarella cheese.
Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Let the lasagna cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
