Bulgur Pilaf

1 big or 2 small onions
1 tbsp tomato paste
2-3 tomatoes (chopped)
150-200 ml tomato pure
chili sauce (if needed)
2 cup bulgur (1/2 kg)
4 cup boiling water
20-30 gr butter
salt
black pepper
red pepper flakes

Chop the onions and sauté them in butter until translucent.

Add the tomato paste and chopped tomatoes (or tomato pure) to the onions and stir well.

If using, add chili sauce to the mixture.

Stir in the bulgur and mix thoroughly.

Pour in the boiling water and season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.

Cover and let it simmer until the bulgur is cooked and has absorbed the water.
