1

Preheat oven to 170C (350F). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.

2

In a medium saucepan heat milk, honey, salt and spices until dissolved and combined, do not boil.

3

Transfer the mixture into a large bowl and allow to cool slightly. Then add vegetable oil, egg, vanilla extract and mix until combined.

4

In a large bowl mix flour, sugar, baking powder and baking soda.

5

Gradually, while constantly whisking, add the flour to the liquid mixture and mix until dough is formed. The dough should be soft but not sticky.

6

Shape the dough into small balls and arrange them on prepared baking tray. Slightly flatten the balls.

7

Bake for 9-12 minutes, or until lightly golden on the bottom. Do not over bake.

8

Allow to cool.

9

Meanwhile make the glaze: in a bowl place powdered sugar, then add water/milk, 1 tablespoon at the time and mix until smooth.

10

Dip each cookie in the glaze and brush evenly all over the cookie.

11

Allow to set (takes approximately 30 minutes).
