1

Make the dough by combining 250 grams of butter and 2 cups of all-purpose wheat flour until crumbly.

2

Add 6 tablespoons of cream and 2 tablespoons of rum to the mixture and combine.

3

Place the dough in a plastic bag and let it rest overnight in the fridge.

4

Boil 250 grams of dried and pitted prunes with 1/2 cup of water for about 15 minutes until soft.

5

Mash the prunes and mix in 2 tablespoons of sugar to create a filling.

6

Add additional rum to the filling if desired.

7

After resting, combine the dough with remaining flour and butter, creating layers by rolling and adding more butter.

8

Roll the dough thin and cut out circles using a cup or saucer.

9

Brush the outer ring of the circles with egg white as glue.

10

Place about 2 teaspoons of prune filling in the center of each circle and fold them closed, sealing with a fork.

11

Brush the pastries with egg yolk before baking.

12

Bake in a hot oven at 450°F (230°C) for about 10 minutes.
