Add sasson seasoning (low sodium) to the mix.
Add 1 egg to the mixture to help everything stick together.
Mix the ingredients thoroughly to ensure even distribution of seasonings.
Form the mixture into flat patties, aiming for tenderness and a nice shape.
Freeze the patties for about 5-30 minutes to help them hold together better.
Preheat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil once hot.
Add the patties to the skillet and sear for about 4 minutes on each side, ensuring they are not fully cooked as they will finish cooking in the sauce.
Remove the patties and place them on a paper towel to drain slightly.
Keep the bits in the pan for flavor in the gravy sauce.
Add Irish cream butter to the skillet and let it melt, mixing with the olive oil.
Once bubbling, add all-purpose flour to create a roux, mixing until fully cooked to remove the bitter flavor of the flour.
Add chicken broth gradually while whisking to create a smooth gravy texture, seasoning to taste.
Add Jamaican browning sauce to darken the gravy, mixing well.
Once the sauce thickens and begins to boil, add the patties back into the skillet, spooning gravy over them.
Cover the patties with gravy to help them cook fully and become tender.
Add caramelized onions on top of the patties and mix them into the sauce.
Let everything cook for a few more minutes before serving.
Suggest serving with mashed potatoes or rice.
