Polynesian Spare Ribs

Combine finely chopped onion, sugar, ginger, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, and soy sauce in a bowl to create the marinade.
Add canned pineapple juice to the marinade mixture and stir well to combine.
Place the spare ribs into ziploc storage bags and pour half of the marinade into each bag, ensuring onions are distributed.
Seal the bags and massage the marinade around the ribs to coat them evenly.
Place the bags in a pan to catch any leaks and refrigerate overnight.
The next day, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Grease baking pans and place the marinated spare ribs in them.
Bake the ribs in the oven for 1.5 hours, basting with reduced marinade halfway through cooking.
To reduce the marinade, heat it in a pan over medium to medium-high heat for about 30 minutes, stirring frequently until thickened.
Baste the ribs with the thickened marinade using a silicone basting brush during baking.
