Mash 2 overly ripe bananas until smooth.
Cream 1 stick of softened butter with 1/2 cup granulated sugar for about 2 minutes until smooth.
Add 1/4 cup brown sugar to the butter and sugar mixture, mixing well.
Add 2 eggs one at a time, creaming each egg into the mixture for about 1 minute before adding the next.
Add the mashed bananas to the mixture and mix with a spatula, being careful not to knock out air from the butter.
Measure out 1 1/2 cups of Bob's Red Mill one-to-one gluten-free baking flour using the spoon and level method.
Add 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon to the flour and whisk together.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until incorporated using a mixer or by hand.
Fold in 1 cup chopped pecans and 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips with a spatula.
Grease a 9x6 loaf pan and pour the batter into it, smoothing the top.
Bake in the oven at 350°F for 50 minutes, checking that the internal temperature reads 200°F to ensure it's fully cooked.
Remove the bread from the baking dish and place it on a cutting board to slice once cool enough to touch.
