4 servings
Servings4
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup bell pepper, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
4 hamburger buns
1/4 cup cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Quantities are estimated based on standard recipes for your convenience. The actual ingredients used in this video are accurate.

1

In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat.

2

Add the chopped onion and bell pepper, sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.

3

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.

4

Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula, and cook until browned.

5

Drain excess fat if necessary, then stir in the tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

6

Bring the mixture to a simmer, reduce heat to low, and let it cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

7

While the beef mixture simmers, toast the hamburger buns lightly on a separate skillet or in a toaster.

8

Once the beef mixture is thickened and flavors melded, remove from heat.

9

Spoon the beef mixture onto the bottom half of each toasted bun.

10

Garnish with chopped cilantro and top with the other half of the bun.

11

Serve immediately.
