Nutritional yeast is dairy-free and adds a cheesy flavor.

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In an ovenproof pan, add 1 pound of lean ground beef and break it up.

Season with salt, pepper, and 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning.

Pour a 16 oz jar of spaghetti sauce over the ground beef.

Add a 16 oz package of short pasta on top.

Pour 1 cup of boiling hot water over the pasta.

Add a pinch of salt and pepper on top of the pasta.

Cover the pan and bake in the oven for 40 to 45 minutes.

Once cooked, mix the spaghetti and meat sauce together.

Top with Parmesan cheese and fresh basil before serving.
