3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 large onion
2 cloves garlic
2-3 bay leaves
0.5 teaspoon caraway seeds
0.5 teaspoon marjoram
1 tablespoon salt

3 stalks celery
3 carrots
1 parsnip
some tomatoes
some potatoes

Heat 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large pot.

Add 1 large chopped onion to the hot oil and cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly brown.

Add 2-3 bay leaves, 0.5 teaspoon caraway seeds, 0.5 teaspoon marjoram, 1 tablespoon salt, and 0.5 teaspoon paprika to the pot.

Add 2-3 cloves of garlic to the pot.

Add 1 lb of beef stew meat, cut into pieces, and stir well with the spices.

Add 1 cup of water to the pot and stir again.

Turn the heat down to low and simmer for about 1 hour.
