Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Grease a loaf pan.

In a bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.

In another bowl, mix the melted butter (or oil) with sugar, eggs, and milk.

Combine the banana mixture with the wet ingredients.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the sifted flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.

Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Let cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Slice and serve.
