3 peeled potatoes
250 grams cheese (half Gruyere)
300 grams pasta (macaroni)
750 milliliters milk
1 stock cube or 1 teaspoon stock powder

Chop 3 peeled potatoes into pretty small cubes.

Grate 250 grams of cheese (using half Gruyere).

Cover the chopped potatoes with water in a pot and put it over high heat.

Add a little salt to the water and let the potatoes cook for about 5 minutes.

Add 300 grams of pasta to the pot.

Pour in 750 milliliters of milk and add a stock cube or about a teaspoon of stock powder.

Bring the mixture to a boil and let it cook for about 10 minutes or until the pasta is cooked through.

Add the grated cheese to the pot and stir well.

If the mixture looks a little dry, add a little more milk or water.

Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg to taste.

Serve with applesauce on the side.
