Welcome to the kitchen, today we are making Stir Fry Beef and Tofu in Chili Garlic Sauce.
Slice beef into thin strips, approximately 2 to 3 mm thick, and marinate with salt, crushed black pepper, liquid seasoning, and soy sauce for about 3-4 minutes until the beef absorbs the seasonings.
Add cornstarch to the marinated beef and mix well, ensuring not to add too much as it will not be crispy but will tenderize the meat.
Cut tofu into medium-sized pieces and heat a moderate amount of vegetable oil in a frying pan.
Fry the tofu for about 8 minutes, flipping after 4 minutes to avoid overcooking and bitterness. Drain excess oil after frying.
In the same pan, cook the marinated beef for about 1 minute, stirring continuously to avoid overcooking and making it tough. Drain excess oil after cooking.
In a separate pot, heat a little oil and sauté minced garlic until light brown.
Add chopped green and red chilis, then the cooked beef slices, and mix well.
Add oyster sauce and stir until the oil starts to separate from the mixture.
Pour in half a cup of water to create a sauce, then simmer for a few seconds.
Add more liquid seasoning, crushed black pepper, and hot sauce to taste, depending on desired spiciness.
Add the fried tofu to the mixture and stir to combine everything.
Add sliced white onion and spring onion, mixing briefly without cooking them too much to maintain crunchiness.
Simmer for about 15 seconds, then transfer to a serving plate.
Serve with boiled green beans or other vegetables like boiled broccoli or cauliflower, garnished with spring onion.
