Ingredients
- ●1 cup orzo pasta
- ●2 cups vegetable broth
- ●1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- ●1 cup heavy cream
- ●1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ●1 tablespoon olive oil
- ●1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ●1 teaspoon onion powder
- ●1/2 teaspoon salt
- ●1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- ●1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- ●1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
Instructions
- 1In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- 2Add the orzo pasta and toast for 2-3 minutes until slightly golden.
- 3Pour in the vegetable broth and diced tomatoes (with juice). Stir to combine.
- 4Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 5After 10 minutes, add the heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir well.
- 6Continue to cook for another 5 minutes, uncovered, until the orzo is tender and the sauce is creamy.
- 7Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and combined.
- 8Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
- 9Serve warm and enjoy your creamy tomato orzo!

- ●2 tbsp soy sauce
- ●1 tbsp unsalted butter
- ●1 tsp sesame oil
- ●1 clove garlic, minced
- ●1/2 tsp ginger, grated
- ●2 green onions, chopped
- ●1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
- ●Salt to taste
- ●Pepper to taste
Instructions
- 1Cook the udon noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- 3Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan, sautéing until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- 4Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil, stirring to combine.
- 5Add the cooked udon noodles to the pan, tossing to coat them in the sauce.
- 6If desired, sprinkle in chili flakes for added spice and mix well.
- 7Season with salt and pepper to taste, adjusting as necessary.
- 8Add the chopped green onions and toss again to combine.
- 9Serve hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
