Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until smooth.
Pour batter into prepared cake pans and smooth the tops.
Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let cakes cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
In a bowl, mix mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and honey until smooth to create the filling.
Once cakes are cool, spread the mascarpone mixture between layers and on top.
Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
