1 pound elbow macaroni (500 g)
3 eggs
0.5 teaspoon salt
a pinch of black pepper
7 to 10 oz mozzarella or cheddar cheese (200 to 300 g)

Boil one pound of elbow macaroni until just tender but still has a little bite, stirring once or twice to prevent sticking.

Drain the pasta well and let it sit for about a minute to steam off extra water.

In a separate bowl, crack three eggs and add half a teaspoon of salt and a pinch of black pepper. Whisk until well mixed and a little foamy on top.

Grate 7 to 10 oz of mozzarella or cheddar cheese.

In a big mixing bowl, add the drained pasta, most of the shredded cheese (saving a small handful for the top), and the egg mixture. Stir until everything is evenly mixed and the pasta is coated.

Cover the air fryer basket with aluminum foil, then place parchment paper on top.

Scoop in half of the pasta mixture, leaving the rest for the top layer. Add four slices of ham in an even layer on top.
