1

Add chicken broth, sugar, sesame oil, black pepper, soy sauce, and oyster sauce into a bowl and mix to create the sauce.

2

Heat a couple tablespoons of oil in a pan over medium heat.

3

Add the pressed tofu to the pan and crisp the larger sides for about 2-3 minutes on each side, checking occasionally.

4

Remove the tofu from the pan and set aside.

5

Heat a wok on medium-high until you see a little whisp of smoke, then add a couple tablespoons of oil.

6

Add the steak to the hot wok in batches, cooking until about 75% done, about 1-2 minutes, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.

7

Add more oil if needed, then add the chopped onions and bell peppers to the wok, stirring for a couple of minutes to retain some crunch.

8

Add minced ginger and garlic to the vegetables and stir.

9

Return the steak to the wok and add the sauce, bringing it to a simmer for about 2 minutes.

10

Add the cornstarch slurry to the wok to thicken the sauce, stirring it in gradually.

11

Add the crispy tofu back into the wok and mix everything together.
