The Bacon King Burger is a quintessential American fast-food creation, embodying the indulgent spirit of burger culture. It combines juicy beef, crispy bacon, and melty cheese, making it a favorite for those seeking a hearty meal. This burger has gained popularity across the globe, with variations appearing in many fast-food chains, showcasing the universal love for burgers.
Divide the ground beef into two halves.
Form the first half into a burger patty, making it quite big but also thin and uniform in thickness.
Season both sides of the patty with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Repeat the same process with the second half of the minced beef to form the second patty.
Preheat the cooking surface to at least 250 degrees Celsius.
Lay the 8 strips of bacon on the cooking surface.
Cook the bacon for about 1 minute until it starts to get color on the first side.
After 1 minute, flip the bacon over and cook for another minute.
Once the bacon is cooked through, move it to the cooler side of the plancha to continue cooking and crisping up.
Scrape any debris off the cooking surface.
Place the burger patties on the cooking surface without adding oil.
Cook the thin burger patties for about 2 minutes on one side.
After 2 minutes, flip the burger patties over.
Flip the bacon over to ensure it crisps up.
Cook the burgers for another 2 minutes.
After 2 minutes, remove the bacon from the griddle and place it on kitchen towel to remove excess fat.
Remove the burgers from the cooking surface.
Assemble the burger starting with the bottom half of the bun, then add one burger patty, a slice of American cheese, the second patty, another slice of cheese, and layer the crispy bacon on top.
Add a swirl of mayonnaise onto the bacon and then a swirl of ketchup.
Finish by placing the top half of the sesame-seed bun on the assembled burger.
