Mix 1 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup white sugar with 1/2 cup water in a pot.

Stir continuously on low flame for 10-15 minutes until the mixture thickens.

Add a pinch of saffron and mix well into the halwa.

Cook until the mixture starts to leave the sides of the pot.
