Preheat the oven to 180°C (354°F).
Preheat the frying pan.
Dice the onion into tiny pieces.
Add butter to the frying pan and then add the diced onions and bacon (about 100-150g).
Fry the onion and bacon until browned.
In a bowl, crack three eggs and add a dash of cream (about 1/4 teaspoon).
Add thyme (about 1/4 teaspoon) and cumin (four to five dashes) to the eggs.
Add a handful of cheese to the egg mixture and mix well.
Add salt and black pepper to the egg mixture.
Once the bacon and onion are cooked, let them cool slightly.
Prepare puff pastry sheets and use an egg ring to cut out circles for the bases.
Grease a cupcake tray with cooking oil and press the puff pastry circles into the base of each cup.
Mix the cooled bacon and onion into the egg mixture.
Fill each puff pastry cup with the egg mixture (about two spoons worth per cup).
Bake in the oven for 15 minutes.
Once baked, let them cool slightly before removing from the tray.
Place the mini kishes on a cooling tray to finish cooling.
