Traditionally served at celebrations, it showcases the art of soaking cake in a mixture of three types of milk, resulting in a moist, decadent dessert. Today, variations can be found worldwide, making it a favorite for those who enjoy indulgent desserts.

For the sponge, separate the eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
In another bowl, whisk the egg yolks with sugar until fluffy.
Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt, then fold into the egg yolk mixture.
Gently fold in the egg whites until combined.
Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
Let the cake cool completely in the dish.
For the milk mixture, combine condensed milk, milk, and heavy cream in a bowl.
Poke holes all over the cooled cake with a fork.
Slowly pour the milk mixture over the cake, allowing it to soak in.
For the caramel, dissolve sugar in warm water and cook until golden.
Let the caramel cool slightly, then drizzle over the cake.
Whip the cream until stiff peaks form and spread over the soaked cake.
Garnish with white chocolate before serving.
