Head to Whole Foods to gather ingredients for vegan chili.

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Cube sweet potatoes and place them on a cookie sheet lined with tin foil.

Drizzle sweet potatoes with avocado oil and sprinkle with red pepper flakes and everything spice (or salt and pepper).

Roast sweet potatoes in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes.

Heat a pot on the stovetop and add avocado oil and a couple dashes of red pepper flakes.

Cube the veggie patties and add them to the pot, coating them in the oil.

Dice the zucchini and add it to the pot.

Roughly chop the mushrooms and add them to the pot, stirring everything together.

Add vegetarian chili seasoning to the pot and stir to coat the veggies.

Strain the black beans and rinse them, then add them to the pot.

Pour in vegetable broth and bring the mixture to a boil.

Add a tablespoon of tomato paste to the boiling chili.

After about 10 minutes, add the roasted sweet potatoes to the chili and let it cook for another 10 minutes.
