1

Pour 500 ml of water into a large pan.

2

Add 1 teaspoon of salt and 25 g of butter to the water.

3

Bring the water gently to a boil, then turn off the heat.

4

Sift the flour into a bowl to remove any lumps.

5

Add the sifted flour into the boiling water and mix well.

6

Sit on the floor with the pot, wrapping a towel around it to avoid burns.

7

Work the dough until it becomes smooth and lump-free, about 3-4 minutes.

8

Add 250 ml of water to the dough and turn on the heat.

9

Bring the mixture gently to a boil and stir to break up the dough.

10

Cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the dough is sticky and no water is visible in the pan.

11

If there's water after 20 minutes, pour it away and cook the dough a bit longer.

12

Once the dough is smooth and sticky, take a plate and melt the remaining butter.

13

Brush 1-2 tablespoons of melted butter onto the plate.

14

Spoon the sticky dough onto the plate and fold it from the bottom to the top while spinning the plate.

15

Flip the dough over to smooth the other side.

16

Create a depression in the middle of the dough using a spoon brushed with butter.

17

Drizzle melted butter and honey or date syrup into the hollow.
