Roughly chop 3 parts of garlic and 1 large green chili (or 2 smaller ones) in a grinder.
Add 3/4 teaspoon of cumin seeds to the grinder.
Add 150 grams (2 big bunches) of fresh cilantro to the grinder.
Grind the ingredients together to start creating the chutney.
Add the juice of 1.5 lemons (about 100 milliliters) to the grinder.
Add 250 grams of freshly grated coconut to the mixture.
Add 5.5 tablespoons of white granulated sugar and 1/4 teaspoon of salt to the mixture.
Blend everything together to get a smooth green chutney.
Refrigerate the chutney to allow flavors to develop before using.
Prepare sliced sandwich bread, cutting off the crust if necessary.
Spread butter on one slice of bread and layer with ham.
Take another slice of bread, spread butter on it, and place it butter side down on the ham.
Spread another thin layer of butter on top of this slice.
Lay down sliced cheddar cheese on top, trimming any excess if necessary.
Spread butter on the next slice of bread and place it butter side down on the cheese, pressing gently.
Spread the green chutney evenly on the top of this slice of bread.
Butter the last slice of bread and place it butter side down on top, pressing gently.
Using a serrated knife, cut the sandwich into bite-sized pieces.
