Traditionally enjoyed with rice or fufu, this dish reflects the resourcefulness of Ghanaian cuisine, utilizing fresh, local ingredients. Today, it has gained popularity beyond Ghana, with variations appearing in West African communities globally.

Jalapeños provide heat with fewer calories, while bell peppers are milder.
Melt palm oil in a large pot.
Fry 2 pieces of onions in the palm oil, then remove and discard them to release any unpleasant scent.
Fry Mone for flavor and aroma (optional).
Fry the onions with Mone for about 2 minutes on medium heat.
Add chopped tomatoes and stir well.
Add chopped pepper and stir again.
Add washed and cubed garden eggs and mix well.
Add a little bit of water to help cook the garden eggs and tomatoes.
Add a little bit of salt and cover for about 5 minutes.
Check the stew and stir, then cover until the water evaporates.
Once the water is evaporated, add your spice mix (no additional spices or seasoning cubes).
Cover and simmer for about 5 minutes.
Add protein: smoked cutfish and smoked mackerel, and stir well.
Cover and simmer on medium heat for about 5-8 minutes.
Add fresh black pepper and shrimps, stir well.
Taste for salt and add more if needed, then cover and leave on medium heat for about 5 minutes.
