Instructions

  1. 1Remove the filet mignon steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.
  2. 2Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  3. 3Season both sides of the steaks with salt and black pepper.
  4. 4In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  5. 5Add the steaks to the skillet and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side until a golden-brown crust forms.
  6. 6Add the minced garlic and rosemary to the skillet, then add the butter and baste the steaks with the melted butter for about 1 minute.
