2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 sprigs fresh rosemary (or 1 teaspoon dried)
2 tablespoons butter

Remove the filet mignon steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Season both sides of the steaks with salt and black pepper.

In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Add the steaks to the skillet and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side until a golden-brown crust forms.
