Smash the cube steaks with a kitchen hammer in a plastic bag.
Cut the smashed steaks into approximately four pieces.
In a bowl, combine 1/4 cup olive oil, 1/8 cup white vinegar, 3 crushed garlic cloves, 2 tablespoons salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper, and 1 envelope of sazón.
Mix the seasoning with the cube steaks using hands or gloves.
In a large skillet, heat salad oil and sauté one whole sliced onion for a couple of minutes.
Add chopped fresh cilantro to the skillet and sauté.
Add the seasoned cube steaks to the skillet and mix well.
Pour in 4 oz of tomato sauce and mix everything together.
Peel and cut 4-6 potatoes into small pieces, rinse, and add to the skillet.
Add 1 cup of water to the skillet and cook on medium heat for 15 minutes.
If desired, mix 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour with water and add to the skillet to thicken the sauce, cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
