250g dried bread cubes
500ml milk
2 eggs
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup fresh herbs (parsley)
100g strong flavored cheese (beer cheese or other alpine cheese)
to taste flour
1 onion, finely chopped
2 tbsp oil

Boil the milk and let it cool for approximately five minutes.

Put the milk in the bread cubes and mix it a bit.

Let the bread cubes soak up the milk for five minutes.

Cut the cheese into small cubes.

Chop some parsley.

Chop the onion into small cubes and roast them in a pan until slightly brown.

Add the roasted onion to the bread cubes.

Add salt and pepper to the mixture.

Add some eggs to the mixture and let it sit for approximately five minutes.

Add one to two tablespoons of flour to the mixture.

Prepare a plate with a bit of flour.

Take a bowl of water to help shape the dumplings.

Shape a dumpling and press it into a loaf shape.

Heat oil in a pan and roast the dumplings at a gentle temperature for four minutes on one side.

Turn the dumplings around and roast for another four minutes.
