Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer until very thick, about 30 minutes to 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

Using a needle and thread, string about 15 walnut halves onto the thread, tying off the end to form a loop.

Once the grape juice mixture has thickened, allow it to cool slightly for about 10 minutes.

Submerge the walnut string in the grape juice mixture, ensuring it's fully covered, then hang to dry.

Allow to dry for 24 to 48 hours before repeating the dipping process for a thicker coating.

After drying for a few more days, remove the string and slice or tear into bite-sized pieces.
