Mix 300 ml of warm milk, 80 g of sugar, and 8 g of dry yeast well.

Add 1 egg, orange peel, and 20 ml of vegetable oil and mix.

In a large bowl, add 600 g of wheat flour and 6 g of salt.

Melt 60 g of butter and add it to the mixture.

Cover the bowl and let the dough rise for 1 hour.

In a saucepan, combine 60 ml of milk and 50 g of sugar and heat until the sugar melts.

Add 125 g of ground poppy seeds to the saucepan and cook for 4 minutes, then leave to cool.

Divide the dough into 2 parts and cover, leaving for 10 minutes.

Roll out the dough with a rolling pin and add the cooled poppy seed mixture.

Make cuts in the dough and braid it as shown in the video.

Repeat the process with the second piece of dough.

Cover the braided dough and leave for 25 minutes.

Brush the top with a mixture of egg yolk and a tablespoon of milk.

Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 25 minutes.
