24 servings
Servings4
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
1 cup corn syrup
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1.5 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1.5 cups butterscotch chips
1

Have a bowl ready with 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal.

2

In a saucepan over low heat, add 1 cup of corn syrup and 1 cup of granulated sugar.

3

Mix together until the sugar melts, keeping it on low heat to avoid boiling or simmering.

4

Stir constantly until the mixture becomes clear and runnier as the sugar melts.

5

Once the sugar is melted, take it off the heat and add 1 cup of creamy peanut butter, mixing until smooth.

6

Add the peanut butter mixture to the bowl of Rice Krispies and mix quickly until combined.

7

Prepare a 9x13 pan with parchment paper and spray it to prevent sticking.

8

Transfer the Rice Krispies mixture to the pan and press it down evenly using a spatula or clean hands.

9

For the top layer, melt 1.5 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1.5 cups of butterscotch chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments, stirring and reducing time to 10-15 seconds as needed.

10

Once melted, pour the chocolate mixture over the Rice Krispies layer and spread it evenly with a rubber spatula.

11

Allow the chocolate to set before cutting the bars, lifting the parchment paper for clean cuts.
