Marinate the barracuda fillet in soy sauce, calamansi juice, minced garlic, and grated ginger for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
Remove the fish from the marinade and pat dry with paper towels.
Brush the grill grates with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
Place the barracuda fillet on the grill skin-side down.
Cook for 4-5 minutes, then carefully flip the fish.
Grill for an additional 4-5 minutes until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
While grilling, sauté sliced onions in a pan with a little oil until translucent.
Add chopped green onions and cook for another minute.
Serve the grilled barracuda topped with the sautéed onions and green onions.
Garnish with chili flakes for added heat, if desired.
