Honey Mustard Chicken Wings

6 tablespoons olive oil
6 tablespoons honey
3 garlic cloves, minced
4 tablespoons dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup dijon mustard
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup stone ground mustard
4 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup additional honey

Prepare the marinade by adding minced garlic, salt, olive oil, dijon mustard, and honey into a bowl and mix well.

Pour the marinade over the chicken wings and mix to coat them evenly.

Cover the bowl with saran wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray it with cooking spray to prevent sticking.

Place the chicken wings skin side down on the baking sheet, leaving half an inch to an inch apart for air circulation.

Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, turning them over halfway through the cooking time.

While the wings are baking, prepare the sauce by melting 4 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan over heat.

Add turmeric, stone ground mustard, dijon mustard, and honey to the melted butter and mix well, bringing it to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 3 to 5 minutes before removing it from heat.

After 45 minutes, take the wings out of the oven and brush them with the prepared sauce on both sides.
