2 Onions
1 Carrot
1 tbsp Tomato Paste
5 Tomatoes
6 Cloves Garlic
2 tbsp Berbere
1/4 cup water
Salt
Pepper
Timiz powder (optional)

Puree the tomatoes and garlic together.

Heat olive oil in a pot.

Add chopped onions and carrot, sauté until softened.

Stir in the tomato paste and cook for a minute.

Add the pureed tomatoes and garlic, and cook until the mixture thickens.

Add berbere and stir; if it tends to stick, add 1-2 tbsp of water.
