Tofu en Crema de Chipotle

400g firm tofu
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup almonds
2 cloves garlic
1 medium tomato
1/2 onion, chopped
2-3 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
1 tsp bouillon powder

Press the liquid out of firm or extra firm tofu.

Heat oil in a pan.

Sauté the tofu cut into thick cutlets.

Season the tofu with salt, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and ground black pepper.

Make the salsa by blending water with soaked almonds and a garlic clove until completely broken down.

Add tomato, white onion, chipotles in adobo sauce, salt, and bouillon powder to the blended mixture.

Once the tofu cutlets are browned and crispy on one side, flip them over and season again.

Remove the cutlets and cook the salsa.

Add the cutlets back into the salsa and let it simmer for about 10 minutes until the tofu absorbs the flavors.
