Scalloped Potatoes and Ham

2 pounds potatoes
6 to 8 ounces ham
3-year cheese
heavy cream or whole milk
butter

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

In a 9 by 13 inch baking pan, add a couple teaspoons of butter to prevent sticking.

Slice 2 pounds of potatoes evenly to about 3/8 inch thickness using a mandolin or knife.

Season each layer of potatoes with salt and pepper.

Add a layer of sliced ham on top of the potatoes.

Sprinkle a layer of cheese over the ham.

Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used up.

Pour heavy cream or whole milk over the top of the layered ingredients.

Bake uncovered in the oven for about 45 minutes until the top is golden brown.
