Scalloped Potatoes and Ham

4 cups thinly sliced potatoes
2 cups diced ham
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cups milk
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup butter
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.

Stir in the flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika, cooking for about 1 minute.

Gradually whisk in the milk, cooking until the mixture thickens and bubbles.

In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by half of the diced ham, and half of the cheese.

Pour half of the milk mixture over the layers in the baking dish.

Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, ham, cheese, and milk mixture.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.

Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
