1

Gather ingredients: 1 pound ground pork, 1 pound ground beef, 1 large potato, 1 onion, 1.5 stalks celery, 2-3 cloves garlic, 1 cup beef broth, 2 eggs, mushrooms, carrots, savory, Epsom salt, pepper, steak spice, cinnamon, and extra virgin olive oil.

2

Chop the onion into small pieces and set aside.

3

Thinly slice 2-3 cloves of garlic and set aside.

4

Thinly slice 1.5 stalks of celery and set aside.

5

Thinly slice mushrooms and set aside.

6

Grate 1 large potato and set aside.

7

In a skillet, heat a little extra virgin olive oil over medium heat and add the onions, cooking for about 3-5 minutes until softened.

8

Add the sliced garlic, celery, mushrooms, and carrots to the skillet and sauté for another 3-5 minutes until softened.

9

Remove the vegetable mixture from the skillet and place it in a bowl.

10

In the same skillet, add the ground pork and ground beef, breaking it up with a wooden spoon and cooking until browned.

11

Drain off excess grease using a coffee can or similar method.

12

Return the skillet to medium heat and add 1 teaspoon of Epsom salt, 1 teaspoon of pepper, 1 teaspoon of savory, 2 teaspoons of steak spice, and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon; stir to combine.

13

Add the grated potato and 1 cup of warmed beef broth to the meat mixture and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.

14

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

15

Prepare the pie crust in a pie dish and fill it with the meat and vegetable mixture, patting it down gently to avoid air pockets.

16

Beat 2 eggs and brush the egg wash around the edges of the crust.

17

Place the second pie crust on top, sealing the edges by pressing down with a fork.

18

Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.

19

Place the pie on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.

20

Let the pie cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
