Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook lasagna noodles in boiling salted water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion, garlic, carrot, and celery; sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
Add ground beef and pork to the skillet; cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 8-10 minutes.
Stir in canned tomatoes, tomato paste, red wine, and beef broth; season with salt, black pepper, and oregano. Simmer for 20-30 minutes until thickened.
In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, salt, and black pepper; mix until smooth.
Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in the bottom of a baking dish. Layer noodles over the sauce, followed by a layer of the ricotta mixture, meat sauce, and mozzarella cheese.
Repeat layering until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of meat sauce and mozzarella cheese on top.
Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese over the top layer.
Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
Let lasagna rest for 15 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
