3 cups chicken stock (or water)
1 ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
1 tsp ginger powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp 7-spice (sabaa baharat) or (cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, cumin, coriander, cardamom- optional)
1 tsp allspice
½ tsp black pepper
1 cinnamon stick (optional, for aroma)
2 tbsp pine nuts or almonds (toasted, for garnish- optional)
