Start by preparing quality shrimp, preferably North Carolina green tail shrimp.
Cut two sticks of butter into tablespoon-sized pieces and place them in a 12-inch cast iron skillet.
Slice a large jalapeno in half, remove the seeds and ribs, and chop it.
Add the chopped jalapeno to the skillet with the butter.
Mince two cloves of roasted smoked garlic and add to the skillet.
Pour in one tablespoon of white wine (pinot grigio) into the skillet.
Add about one teaspoon of redneck barbecue lab all purpose seasoning to the skillet.
Place the skillet in a smoker preheated to 275-300 degrees Fahrenheit with cherry wood and royal oak charcoal.
Let the mixture in the smoker cook for about 30 minutes to blend the flavors.
After 30 minutes, remove the skillet from the smoker and add the shrimp to the mixture.
Season the shrimp with more redneck barbecue lab competition rub before adding them to the skillet.
Layer the shrimp in the hot cast iron skillet with the butter and seasoning mixture.
Return the skillet to the smoker for the final cooking step.
