In a blender, add 4 cups of chopped tomatoes and 3 garlic cloves and blend well.

In a heated saucepan, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 cup of finely chopped onions, cooking for around 6 minutes until caramel colored.

Add the blended tomatoes and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper to the saucepan and let it simmer for around 15 to 20 minutes until it reduces and thickens.

Add salt to taste and 1 tablespoon of oregano to the sauce.

In a mixing bowl, add 1 1/2 cups of warm water, 2 1/2 teaspoons of active dry yeast, and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Mix and let this rest for 10 minutes.

Add 1/4 cup of oil, 5 cups of flour, and 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt to the yeast mixture and knead the dough for 10 minutes.

Form the dough into a ball and place it in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it, and let it rest for 30 to 40 minutes until it doubles in size.

Cut the dough into three equal pieces, then in a lightly oiled baking tray, flatten the dough and shape it into a circle.

Add the prepared pizza sauce, cheese, and any other toppings you like to the dough.

Sprinkle oregano on top and bake in a preheated oven on the lowest rack for about 15 minutes.

Turn on the broiler until the cheese turns a golden color.
