1/2 cup sugar
a bit of cardamom powder
a bit of salt
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon red food coloring
dried mangoes
2 to 3 tablespoons baba powder (optional)

Add 2 cups of water to a pot.

Add 1/2 cup of sugar to the water.

Stir the mixture a bit.

Add a bit of cardamom powder, a bit of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder, then stir again.

Let the mixture boil.

While the syrup is boiling, add 1 teaspoon of red food coloring and stir.

Continue boiling until the sugar reduces and starts to stick.

Once the syrup starts to stick, add the dried mangoes and mix well with the syrup.

Let the mangoes cook until the syrup and mangoes stick together.

Optionally, add 2 to 3 tablespoons of baba powder to thicken the mixture further.

If you don't have baba powder, let the mangoes cook until the syrup thickens.

Serve the cooked mangoes on a plate.
