Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. 2In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. 3In another bowl, mix together the maple syrup, almond milk, melted coconut oil, applesauce, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. 4Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. 5Fold in the vegan chocolate chips and walnuts if using.
  6. 6Grease a baking dish with a little coconut oil or line it with parchment paper.
  7. 7Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  8. 8Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly firm.
  9. 9Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing into squares.
  10. 10Serve warm or at room temperature.

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 cup raisins (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. 2In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
