Welcome back, today I'm making Jamaican fry festival.

For this recipe, I'm going to use 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 cup of sugar, 3 cups of cornmeal, 2 tablespoons of baking powder, 1 cup of milk, and 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour.

Start by adding all the dry ingredients together: cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and salt.

Dissolve the sugar in the milk and add 1 tablespoon of vanilla to it.

Make a well in the dry ingredients and pour some of the milk mixture into it to form a dough.

Knead the dough until it resembles dumpling dough.

Heat oil to between 250 to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

Pinch off small sections of the dough and shape them with pointed edges and a fat middle.

Fry the dumplings in the heated oil on medium-low heat for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown and puffy.

Check them constantly to avoid burning and ensure they are crisp on the outside and soft on the inside.

Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
